Nestled alongside the River Taw, Flashdown Wood and Eggesford Forest, halfway between Exmoor & Dartmoor, 3 miles from the historic town of Chulmleigh and a 10 minute walk to Eggesford Station on the Tarka Line running from Barnstaple to Exeter. A perfect base for exploring the countryside and beaches, or just stay here and relax!!
At Lakemoor we strive to take better care of our planet, stocking local products, and hooking up guests with local suppliers.
Our structure are built from environmentally sound or recycled products where possible, our Lakeside Cabins are all Off Grid and Riverside Meadow is wild, with only a composting toilet, hot showers are available a short walk away.
We've planted 500 trees to form a new woodland, for future camping.
SINGLE USE PLASTIC
Bins full of plastic are unsightly, a magnet for wasps, and terrible for the planet.
We are seriously reducing the plastic produced at Lakemoor, please help us in our quest by bringing less plastic packaged food, or buying local produce from our partners below.
Our water is drawn through ancient aquifers, fully tested and tastes fantastic, please bring refillable containers, no need for bottled water.
Find us on the Refill app, to find free drinking water on the go.
WHAT OUR GUESTS THINK
"Beautiful location. The riverside and lake were so peaceful, with electric blue damsel flies, woodpecker, kingfisher and heron."
This peaceful place was just what we needed after a week of travelling from one place to another. We enjoyed the charming hut, ecofriendly environment, useful utensils, funny goats, the lake and river, the clean and hot shower & the personal touch it all has.
Such a beautiful and peaceful retreat! The location was amazing as was the campsite and teepee. Would definitely reccomend for a quiet getaway in peaceful surroundings!
Excellent campsite, great location, would return!
